Thonging Iron Two Teeth (mm)
Shipping: usually ships within 1 business day
Our two teeth thonging irons allow you to make stitches on a curve or a circle and pair with longer pricking irons to give your creations a consistent look and feel in the stitching and seams.
These pricking irons are precision ground to perfection. They have a range of spacing options from 3.0mm to 4.5mm between each tooth.
Whether you buy your pricking irons here or elsewhere, be sure to choose the same teeth per inch for your other irons.
Thonging irons create a horizontal hole that allows you to use leather lacing instead of thread. Their small punch size also enables you to use thread with these irons and create a straight stitch in a grooved channel.
Thonging irons are set with multiple teeth in a row, making it easier to produce beautiful straight lines of stitches. thonging irons can mark the leather deeper than a wheel and make it easier to follow up with your leather awl when sewing. Using a thonging iron also helps maintain the sharpness of your sewing awl since the irons are doing most of the work.
