A formoir is a traditional tool made of boxwood and is used to mark stitching lines. The smaller tip rides on top of your piece and the longer one runs along the edge create a line consistently spaced from the edge of your piece. A very handy tool- each side has a different standard width. Handle doubles as a burnisher in a pinch.
